Dr. Hans Dieter Schweisgut, Ambassador of the European Union to China delivered a keynote speech in a special event of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the EU and China on May 20.
Xu Shaohua, the executive vice president of Guangdong government, emphasized in his speech that Guangdong keeps strengthening the relations of members of European Union. In the recently authorized Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone, Guangdong is speeding up constructing an internationalized, market-based, and legalized business environment. He said the new business environment in Guangdong will truly promote trading and investment between Guangdong and EU, providing huge opportunities to making business of both sides.
As part of the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the European Union and the People's Republic of China, the Delegation of the European Union to China and the EU Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC), with the support of Consulates General of EU Member States in Guangzhou and the participation of Member State embassies in Beijing, organized a special event for European and Chinese business community members to celebrate Europe Day.
